The Jabulani Coffee project took us on an unforgettable journey to Rwanda, capturing the heart and purpose behind this single-origin, organic coffee.
Born from a chance meeting with founders Jabo Butera and Liliane Uwimana of the Diversity Business Incubator, this collaboration evolved into a full rebrand and the creation of a powerful brand origin story. Together with Tom Carder Media, we produced a short documentary film that premiered to over 200 people, highlighting the coffee’s mission to connect communities in Plymouth and Rwanda through sustainable practices and education.
This project went beyond branding, touching on themes of diversity, inclusion, and community impact. The profits from Jabulani Coffee directly support local Rwandan communities, while its presence in Plymouth fosters cultural connections and awareness. The experience of immersing ourselves in Rwandan culture to tell this story not only inspired our work but also reinforced the value of purpose-driven branding in creating meaningful change. This has been a milestone project, showcasing the power of storytelling to bridge worlds and uplift communities.
