Pete’s Playful Portfolio Paper

In a world saturated with digital noise and fleeting impressions, it's a delight to come across a tangible creation that truly grabs your attention. Biscuiteer Pete understands the positive impact of self-promotion beyond digital platforms and social media. His latest project, a captivating mini zine crafted with care and ingenuity, serves as a vivid reminder that meaningful self-promotion isn't just about exposure; it's about creating something memorable that lingers in the hearts and minds of those who encounter it.

In the world of self-employment and as a one-man-band studio I am constantly looking for new ways to get my name and work out there beyond social media. That’s where Newspaper Club came in last month. The Newspaper Club specialise in high-quality printed newspapers and zines, and after receiving some samples from them, I got uber excited about producing a promotional mini zine for myself.

l love the DIY, punk rock history of zines and very much thought this could be the perfect format for something I can give out and send out to clients I want to work with. Furthermore, I love producing a ‘thing,’ and by that I mean an actual holdable, usable piece of work. It’s a great part of what I do as a creative!

The promo piece has been a great vessel for me to showcase my diverse creative offerings and testimonials from happy clients PLUS two full-page illustrations that can be cut out and pinned up. So, if you’re looking for something different for your own promotions beyond social media and postcards then look no further than Newspaper Club for plenty of ideas and formats… they are great and have a good customer service team and quick turnaround times.

We were very impressed here in the studio with the quality of the final papers. So much in fact that the team here at Brand Biscuit Studio are going to produce our own unique one-off publication next year. So stay tuned for that in 2024 folks!

If you would like to get your hands on one of mine and take a look at my varying portfolio and latest case studies, send me an email and I can pop one in the post.

Thanks for reading.

Pete :)
