Getting On Board For Summer Adventures with Citybus: The Go Explorers Campaign

Recently, we've had the pleasure of partnering with Citybus, a prominent transport provider in Plymouth, to develop and deliver an exciting summer campaign aimed at families and children. Introducing: The Go Explorers!
Embracing Adventure with The Go Explorers
The Go Explorers campaign is designed to encourage local families and children to use Citybus during the busy summer season. The aim is to inspire exploration of popular destinations and attractions within Plymouth city centre and beyond. Citybus wanted to create a campaign that not only highlights the convenience and eco-friendliness of bus travel but also adds an element of fun and adventure for our young explorers.
Meet the Go Explorers
Central to the campaign are a collective of cute illustrated animal characters. Each character represents a unique aspect of Plymouth's diverse environments—urban, rural, and coastal—all accessible via the Citybus network. These characters bring to life the spirit of adventure and discovery that the campaign embodies. Our goal was to make bus travel relatable and exciting for children, fostering a sense of curiosity and a desire to explore the city in an eco-friendly and affordable way.
Crafting a Compelling Campaign
Our team took great pride in developing the campaign identity, which included designing the logo and creating a variety of graphic assets, and some wonderful character designs by Pete Clayton. These elements became the foundation for a comprehensive suite of marketing materials aimed at launching the campaign, spreading awareness, and building engagement with families and young children. Key deliverables included:
Adverts for Publications: Eye-catching adverts placed in local publications to reach a wide audience.
Posters: Vibrant posters are displayed at key locations to attract attention and inform the public about the campaign.
Social Media and Website Assets: Dynamic content for Citybus’s social media channels and website to engage online audiences.
Illustrated Map and Activity Log Book: A fun-filled map and log book for children to track their adventures, making bus journeys interactive and memorable.
